health insurance - without it, i cannot register for classes. it costs US$839 to buy one here. the one NTUC income quoted costed only S$150?... yet there are many paper work to get through
health screening - TB tests...
accommodation - mine was settled (Thank God!) but the other exchange students i met who applied for on campus didn't have such a nice time settling it...
i sense the registration for classes will be another headache for me... =x
my group of friends expanded over the 2 days:
Ariel, 1 girl from Hong Kong
Jieun, Heejin, You Jung, 3 girls from Korean, Ewha university
Greg, 1 guy from France
Fei Ting, 1 girl from NUS.
it's been cool... going everywhere together... complaining about the Uni admin stuff together... lol! interestingly, among all of them, i am the only one who had English as my first language. it was hard conversing and understanding each other initially. but somehow we get along.. haha! picking up Korean along the way... I'm glad Ariel can speak Mandarin (they call it pu tong hua)... though she has a Hong Kong accent =p
