Day 2 in Hawaii

The view from Nuuanu Park

The view from the South-Eastern shores...

My first Sunday in Hawaii! (Find the rest of my photos on facebook). Accommodations are no longer an issue of concern. still feeling sleepy during certain times in the day. things are getting exciting. visiting a different church is always an eye-opening experience. feels nice to be in a church and getting to know new people (names are a big problem for me again...using my phone to record this time) they are really on time. 9am start. 10am service ends. 1030am there were Men's meeting and Women's meeting. like a bible study. we had a visiting person from some missions agency so he actually talked for 1 hour! (imagine my struggle to keep awake esp when I'm so tired)

Sody was so hospitable when he is so willing to drive us around. we went to the flea market at the stadium and on the way back he drove us through the mountains and the eastern shores... The photos above are my first few efforts to have paranoma photos...

when things are easy and there is so much to do, it was easy to keep God out of the picture. doesn't matter that i went to church because i don't think a lot about God outside of church time. partly because I am always around with people so it is hard to put personal space to pray, read and even strum a tune to worship God (i want a Ukulele soon!)

thanks Eirene for the quick reminder. yea I wanted to study the gospel of Matthew. Guess it's about time I start... in the mist of all the excitement and new experiences, i need to put God back in my vision...

i am glad for many things that are happening back in sg. loke went to church. so did alex. from the retreat, i saw the snp younger members are more responsive now. the older spi guys are taking up more responsibilities and growing. for me, i see these as encouragements. i shall take time to pray =)

today was merely a glimpse of the adventure. i am so happy i'm going to be here for 5 months to fully explore the place!
