Planets, Spacecrafts, Propagating Protons thru Intergalactic Space!?!

Praise God for the great stuff I am learning from my computational physics class. i must admit that i really learn quite a bit through the weekly torture of codes and writings..

Praise God I get to do only ONE paper for two separate modules (Computational Physics and Particle Physics) Both of my professors allowed me to use the same paper for both final project requirements! That's half the workload less!

During one of the labs, we get to simulate the Earth & Moon orbits and try to launch a spacecraft to hit the moon. My spacecraft hit the moon.... and deflected off! haha... oh well!

Putting in a lot of effort to finish up the final project now... Reading up a lot about astrophysics stuff and it feels so Sci-Fi... never thought that I would use the word "Intergalactic" in my homework!

Keep walking! But you won't knock down our wall~

Very amused by the short Veggie Tales clip we saw during Pastor Jordan's sermon at Blue Water Mission today.. the Lord used the sermon to speak a great deal to me and at the same time provided fun and catchy songs to sing-along to... =p

here's the summarised video of Veggie Tales - Josh and the Big Wall.. i can't find the song clip that pastor jordan showed us though... but it is still funny!

here's the lyrics to the song "Keep Walking"

Keep walking! But you won't knock down our wall Keep walking! But she isn't gonna fall! It's plain to see, your brains are very small To think walking will be knocking down our wall.

Sunset & Fireworks in Hawaii..

i initially planned to go to the beach alone. wanted some time to rest, think and pray.. felt really emo last night when i tot about havin to leave all my friends here in hawaii...

God had other plans. i met friends along the way and it became a group outing..

we have become so close, we are like family ^^

After watching the sunset, we stayed on to wait for the fireworks. One of the hotels at Waikiki would put fireworks to entertain the tourists every friday 7:45pm. After being here for 4months, I only saw this twice.. it was nice... but it was nicer sitting there feeling the breeze and 'talk stories' (local term for chatting) with friends.
I am definitely gonna miss this place..

One of the things we talked about was how things would change when we go back to our home. my local friends shared their experience going to california for exchange. when they came back, many things did not change. the only change was themselves. i guess it would be the same for me. my family, church friends, school, everything would not have changed much. but i could feel that i have changed in many ways. thinking, perspectives, perhaps even lifestyle... the world is much bigger than our little island!

The Crimefighters of Today...

went to a talk today about International Justice Mission (IJM). was really encouraged and reminded of reality. i like what the director from Philippines said "through doing this, i myself was rescued. i was rescued from my city big lawyer lifestyle and thinking 'my world is falling apart' when these ppl are really enslaved."

she was a lawyer by profession. a few years ago, she joined IJM full-time and became a prosecutor for the underaged children who were sold to sex slavery.

so true. sometimes we can get caught up with our little problems that we fail to see how blessed and materially rich we already are. and we fail to see or even notice the different lives that ppl are experiencing around us...
