seriously...don't take life so seriously

it is really weird to be breathing underwater... but the coldness robbed away most of the fun and fascination =( i guess i enjoyed my first scuba pool lesson =)

on the way back, another divine appointment happened. i met Eric, a business grad student who happens to be blowing glass as part of his hobby and he is also staying in YMCA. he brought me to tour around the art building in UH. I was tired, planning to go back for a nice shower and hot cup of chocolate.. but i knew I should ask if I could follow him to have a look.. i was greatly rewarded!

he brought me into the art workshops... i saw sculptures, metal workshops, classrooms, glass workshops, glass furnaces... it felt like some back alley, doesn't feel like a University!

before we left he showed me his works in his locker.. they were all really nice! he gave me a vase he made! i was quite stunned and hesitant cos i knew i had no use for it and usually it would end up being kept at some cupboard somewhere... but then he said something that was quite unexpected: "If you are too busy, then you should make time for it. Get some flowers, enjoy its beauty... Seriously, don't always take life so seriously..." (i can't rem the exact words but it was along this line)

To me, I could sense that it was as if God planned that meeting to tell me something thru him (Of cos I measure it to what I already knew about God) but it has been one consistent theme that God is showing me thru my exchange in Hawai'i.

Well, time to get some flowers and learn how to take care of them!
