Redeeming the notion of Love

i am having a backlog of posts =( been out everyday so I need to use my free time to finish my sch work.. but ok no excusing for not blogging..

hi Dad! didn't know you also read my blog.. thanks for going through all the effort to replace my broken table back home.. I enjoyed skyping with you over an hour during CNY eve =)

For those who didn't know, let the picture speaks for itself... This happened in my room when I am in Hawaii:
Unknown cause. possibly heat? Imagine the shock my Mom had! The table is now replaced with wood and waiting for me to return =)

The guys in Intervarsity came together to organise a dinner to honour the women in our fellowship. I like the way Jason put it: redeeming the notion of Love from the world - the commercially overly romanticised aspect of love. Love is much more.. We wanted Friday Night to be a night where we serve and honour the women so that they can rest from cooking and all, and we can all focus on God. We even invited our friends along to show them what love looks like in a Christian fellowship =)

So the guys settled the decor...
cooked the food...
served as waiters...

performed...
shared the word of God and sang songs of praise...
it was a great night... my VCF are already asking me to bring this idea back... heh... we'll see... =)
more posts to come soon... gonna do my take-home-test now.. SURFS UP this afternoon!
